OUR STORY

The year was 2006 and the company I had worked for close to 8 years closed down and left my area leaving me at a crossroads- accept a job working for someone else again or become my own boss?  After a lot of research and ultimately a suggestion from my barber brother-in-law I set my sights on shear sharpening!

I then hopped a plane cross country to California with my beautiful wife, 4 year old daughter, and 1 year old daughter, bound for a shear sharpening training course.  (After the obligatory stop at Disneyland California) I took a one-on-one training course with a "shear genius," Jason Pintel.  I learned the nuances of shear sharpening and then had a resource for any questions or concerns I had in the years to come.

Perfect Edge Shear Sharpening was born in 2007 and have loved every minute of it!  Not that it has been smooth sailing right from the start-  what new business doesn't have some bumps along the way?!  Thankfully I had Jason, mentioned earlier- the "shear genius," as a resource.  I often went to him with oddities I encountered in sharpening or hiccups with my equipment.  I have learned so much along the way and many years later it feels as if there is not a shear I haven't sharpened or a problem I haven't seen and fixed successfully!

With shear sharpening under my belt it has been fantastic building business relationships with Titans of the industry- Kasho, Above Shears, Feather, Scissor Mall, and others.
